Are commercial VPN services allowed?
Yes. EDIS Global welcomes commercial VPN providers, including paid retail services whose customers’ traffic exits to the internet through EDIS Global VPS IP addresses. You may use standard KVM VPS plans for this workload. A special VPN plan or separate reseller application is not required simply because you sell VPN access to customers. Account eligibility, verification and the Acceptable Use Policy still apply. EDIS Global supplies the infrastructure. You operate the VPN service and remain responsible for your software, authentication, security, customer support and the traffic generated by your users.Operating model
You can keep multiple VPS services under one EDIS Global account and assign a separate VPS with its own dedicated static IPv4 address to each paying VPN subscriber. Subscribers connect to your VPN service and do not need access to the EDIS Global control panel. You remain the contractual customer and handle payment, server administration, subscriber support and abuse response. Order production VPS under the intended account: existing VPS cannot be transferred between accounts.Deploying a VPN endpoint
- Register and prepare payment. The Order API is available after registration, subject to normal account verification. Prepaid account credit can help automate payment.
- Check availability and order. Retrieve current locations, stock and plans through the Order API. A stock check does not reserve capacity.
- Wait for provisioning and installation. Provisioning starts near-real-time after payment confirmation. Linux installation normally takes another 3–5 minutes, including updates from distribution mirrors. Custom image transfers may take longer.
- Apply your VPN configuration. A common approach is to order a standard Linux image with an SSH public key and configure it using Ansible, Chef, Salt or your own scripts. Custom Cloud-Init user data is currently supported on reinstall, not in the initial order.
- Check the endpoint before delivery. Verify installation, SSH access, your VPN service and connectivity from the subscriber’s network before providing connection details. A service ID or KVM ID does not establish VPN readiness.
Protocols and capacity
Our KVM VPS support VPN software including WireGuard, OpenVPN, IPsec and AmneziaWG, with full root access and TUN/TAP support. Published plans do not specify a fixed VPN-user or concurrent-connection limit. Practical capacity depends on the selected resources, protocol, encryption workload, packet rate and traffic profile. Test your actual workload before scaling. Review the network port policy, including outbound SMTP controls.Shared connectivity and bandwidth
Host connectivity is shared between VPS instances. A host uplink speed is not a dedicated per-VPS throughput commitment; actual VPN performance depends on resources, encryption, load and the complete network path. Dedicated Internet access and custom committed-bandwidth arrangements are not available for VPS deployments. For a large rollout, agree locations, quantities and timing with us in advance. Public stock information does not reserve capacity or establish a guaranteed deployment rate.IP addresses and location selection
- Primary IPv4 replacement is available. Standard allocation does not guarantee a different subnet.
- Additional IPv4 addresses can be added to a VPS.
- Bespoke IPv4 selection lets you choose from available addresses and prefixes. Tell us your required number of distinct /24 prefixes before ordering; inventory varies by location.
- Test connectivity using the published addresses and Looking Glass on our location pages.
Connectivity and IP expectations
Access from Russia is not guaranteed. EDIS Global prefixes may already be blocked by Russian networks. Restrictions can affect individual IPs, entire prefixes or VPN protocols and can change over time. Test from your subscribers’ actual networks; a successful test today does not guarantee future access. Access to a particular website or platform is also not guaranteed. Third parties determine their own filtering and IP-reputation rules. We cannot promise access to services such as ChatGPT, Netflix or Cloudflare-protected websites, residential IP classification, a particular blocklist status or CAPTCHA-free browsing. An IP replacement does not guarantee a solution. Use stable addresses within your assigned allocation. Rotating or random-address IPv6 proxies are prohibited.Reverse DNS and outbound email
PTR records can be managed through the portal or API. Reverse DNS remains on EDIS Global’s Anycast DNS infrastructure; individual IPs and parts of networks are not delegated to external nameservers. A custom PTR is normally unnecessary for a VPN endpoint. See reverse DNS management. We recommend blocking outbound TCP port 25 in your VPN configuration or firewall, including forwarded subscriber traffic, unless you have a legitimate requirement for it. The platform’s default rate limit is not a complete block. See Port 25 guidance for VPN operators.Traffic accounting for VPN workloads
Traffic used = incoming traffic + outgoing traffic. For example, approximately 100 GB received and 100 GB forwarded contributes approximately 200 GB to the counter, with protocol overhead affecting the total. Consider this when estimating cost per TB delivered to your customers. Each VPS has its own monthly traffic cycle. Auto-Hydration uses your existing Pool balance; it does not purchase more traffic automatically.Abuse handling
Maintain a monitored contact address and a process for promptly stopping prohibited activity. The reseller guidance requires action on abuse messages within 24 hours. This is not a guaranteed grace period. Serious incidents may require immediate restrictions, suspension or termination under the AUP. You remain responsible for abuse originating from your customers. Valid complaints are normally forwarded to the account holder for investigation. Stop the activity, investigate the cause and reply with the action taken. Provide accurate contact and billing details. Account verification and payment-provider checks may apply. Consult the accepted payment methods guide and contact support with account-specific eligibility questions.- Reseller discounts depend on active VPS count. After tier confirmation, use the issued coupon for future orders; discounts are not automatically applied retrospectively.
- Available credit is applied to newly generated renewal invoices by default. Credit added after an invoice exists must be applied manually.
- The Order API’s
applycredit: falsesetting affects that order only. A renewal-credit opt-out is a support-configured account-level arrangement. - Services renew unless cancelled. We recommend automatic renewal and cancelling services no longer required.
- EDIS Global adds no cryptocurrency-payment surcharge. Wallet, exchange and network fees may still apply; required payment confirmations must complete before provisioning.
