Your VPS deployment email

After payment is confirmed and deployment is complete, EDIS Global sends the VPS access details to the email address registered with your client account. Look for a message from support@edisglobal.com. Keep this email secure because it contains sensitive access information.

What the email contains

EDIS Global does not store or recover VPS passwords. The initial credentials cannot be resent if the deployment email is lost.

Complete your initial setup

1

Open the VPS Management Portal

Sign in to the VPS Management Portal, open Services, and confirm that your new VPS is shown as active.
2

Connect to your VPS

Use SSH for Linux or Remote Desktop for Windows with the credentials from the deployment email.
3

Secure your access

Change the initial operating-system password after your first successful login. For Linux, we recommend configuring SSH key authentication and following the SSH Security Hardening Guide.
4

Subscribe to service updates

Subscribe to updates for the locations you use so that you receive relevant maintenance and incident notifications. See Subscribe to Status Updates.
5

Plan your backups

You are responsible for protecting your own data. Review the Backup Guide before placing important workloads on the server.

Included Traffic Pool starter credit

Every newly purchased VPS adds 100 GB of complimentary traffic to your shared Traffic Pool. The credit does not expire while it remains in the Pool and can be assigned manually or used with Auto-Hydration.

No deployment email received?

First check your spam or junk folder and confirm that you are checking the email address registered with your EDIS Global account. If the VPS is active but the deployment email cannot be found, follow the No email received? guide. Because EDIS Global does not store VPS passwords, you will need to reinstall the VPS and choose a new password.
Reinstalling a VPS permanently deletes its current contents. Confirm that no required data exists on the server before starting a reinstallation.
