Build a reliable, low-maintenance payment workflow
At EDIS Global, we’ve worked with tens of thousands of customers over more than two decades, from single VPS users to large-scale infrastructures. This guide explains how to set up a reliable, fully automated payment workflow that minimizes manual work, avoids service interruptions, and keeps everything running smoothly.Recommended payment methods
EDIS Global supports multiple payment methods. Some are ideal for full automation, while others require a bit of planning.Credit cards (recommended)
Automation level: ⭐⭐⭐Reliability: ⭐⭐⭐
Operational overhead: 🟢 Low Credit cards offer the most reliable and maintenance-free payment experience. When you pay by credit card:
- Your card is securely stored with our payment provider Stripe
- Only a reference token is stored in your EDIS Global account
- Invoices are charged automatically (four days after receiving the invoice)
Benefits
- Renewal invoices are charged automatically
- New orders are charged instantly
- Services are provisioned in near real-time
Customers who want fully automated payment with immediate service delivery.
Account credit (highly recommended)
Automation level: ⭐⭐⭐Reliability: ⭐⭐⭐
Operational overhead: 🟡 Medium Account credit is a powerful option, especially for customers with multiple services. By topping up your account:
- Renewal invoices are paid automatically from your balance
- New orders are funded instantly
- Services are delivered in near real-time
Important
You only need to ensure that sufficient credit is available in your account. How to fund account credit
- Credit card
- PayPal
- Cryptocurrency
- SEPA or ACH Direct Debit, if enabled for your account
- Bank transfer of at least EUR 250, processed manually
Bank transfers are not automated or credited in real time. Fund your account well before the credit is needed. Once the transfer has been manually assigned and appears as account credit, that credit can pay newly generated renewal invoices automatically.
Businesses, resellers, or customers who prefer prepaid payments and predictable costs.
SEPA and ACH Direct Debit (invitation only)
Automation level: ⭐⭐Reliability: ⭐⭐
Operational overhead: 🟡 Medium to 🔴 High SEPA and ACH Direct Debit allow EDIS Global to collect payments automatically from an approved bank account. These methods are available by invitation only and do not appear automatically in every customer account. Contact EDIS Global Support to discuss eligibility and arrange mandate setup.
What to know
- Payments are not instant and may take several business days to settle
- New services are delivered after settlement
- Not ideal if you require immediate provisioning
- Settlement is delayed by public holidays and weekends
- A collection can be delayed, rejected or reversed, so sufficient time must be allowed
Recommended use
For eligible customers, Direct Debit can be used for renewal invoices or to top up account credit. The appropriate setup is agreed with our support team. Maintaining account credit provides a buffer for future renewals once the collected funds have settled.PayPal subscriptions
Automation level: ⭐Reliability: ⭐
Operational overhead: 🔴 High PayPal subscriptions can work for:
- Private users
- A small number of static services
For business customers, we strongly recommend credit cards or account credit instead.
Our recommendation
For a smooth, fully automated payment experience, choose one of the following setups:- Credit card payment
- Account credit funded by credit card
- Account credit funded by PayPal or cryptocurrency
- For approved accounts, SEPA or ACH Direct Debit
