Are VPS IP addresses static or dynamic?

Both the IPv4 address and the /64-equivalent IPv6 allocation assigned to your VPS are “static”.
This means that they will not change for as long as you have the virtual server. The IP addresses also remain unchanged in case you need to reinstall your KVM virtual server, no matter how long the reinstall takes. Bottom line: An IP address assigned to your VPS remains yours until you cancel your server.
The IPv6 allocation is not routed as a separate /64. Configure IPv6 addresses with the required /48 prefix length and use the location-specific gateway shown in the VPS Management Portal. See IPv6 Setup.
